Schedule changes for Afghanistan and Pakistan series

The three-match T20I series between Afghanistan and Pakistan has been rescheduled due to the non-availability of the Hawk-Eye system at the scheduled time. As per the earlier schedule, the opening match of the series has been brought forward by one day. The first match will be played on March 24. The remaining two matches will be on March 26 and 27. Both boards have agreed on the issue that the first bilateral T20 series between the two teams should be on a proper broadcast system. Every match will be played in Sharjah.

Demand for ban on Asif who wanted to hit with a bat

Pakistan secured the final by defeating Afghanistan in the Asia Cup Super Four on Wednesday night. Afghanistan set a small target of 130 runs in front of Pakistan in the match. Pakistan’s batsmen have to struggle to chase that run when the Afghan bowlers handle it.

Afghan bowlers put Babar-Fakhar under pressure from the beginning. Asif Ali became Pakistan’s hope at the last moment in the tense match. Pakistan needed 21 runs to win in the last two overs. Asif struck Haris Rauf with a single off the first ball of the Afghan pacer. But Haris Rauf returned empty-handed after being bowled directly on the second ball. Pakistan is under more pressure.

On the third ball, Naseem Shah struck Asif again with a single. Asif took control of the match with a six off the fourth ball of the 19th over. However, Asif, who scored 16 runs, was caught out at short fine leg on the very next ball of Fareed Ahmed and had to return to the pavilion.

Posting the video of the Asif-Fareed moment on Twitter, Stanikzai wrote, “This is utter stupidity by Asif Ali and he should be banned from the rest of the tournament. Any bowler has the right to celebrate but physical aggression is not acceptable at all.”
Despite Asif leaving the field, 21-year-old Pakistani pacer Naseem Shah’s devastating batting allowed Pakistan to reach the goal of victory with 4 balls in hand. Their opponent in the final in Sri Lanka.
