Practice Games Against Sri Lanka and England at Barsapara Cricket Stadium

Bangladesh is gearing up for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 with two crucial warm-up encounters. The team’s preparation journey begins with a match against Sri Lanka on September 29, followed by a clash against England on October 2. Both contests will take place at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

The official warm-up schedule for all 10 participating teams in the upcoming ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has been unveiled. This series of preparatory matches will unfold from September 29 to October 3, spread across three prominent venues in India – Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.

The warm-up games are set to be played as 50-over matches, mirroring the One Day International format. However, these matches will not carry official ODI status. Teams will have the opportunity to field all 15 players from their squad, ensuring valuable playing time and strategic exploration ahead of the main event.

The much-anticipated ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will commence on October 5. The opening clash will feature defending champions England facing off against New Zealand at Ahmedabad. Notably, the same venue will host the grand final on November 19, adding to the excitement of the tournament.
